GEAR UP & College Positive Volunteerism (CPV) Grant
Michigan Campus Compact (MiCC) is a partner of MI GEAR UP, and we sub grant up to $15,000 to each of six campuses (currently) to incorporate CPV into their existing MI GEAR UP programming. The goal of the campus grantees in the program is to establish a cohort of college student leaders serving in GEAR UP programs at Michigan’s public higher education institutions in order to recruit college students to serve with youth and expose them to higher education. CPV is a curriculum that trains college students to work with K-12 youth, and help them consider, plan for and attend postsecondary education. The 15 public institutions in Michigan receive MI GEAR UP funding, and are eligible to participate in this grant. For more information about this model, or to explore interest in this opportunity, please visit the MiCC GEAR UP & CPV webpage.
