Amy Smitter

Amy Smitter

Amy Smitter has served as the Executive Director at Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) since September 2000, working with MCC partner organizations and coordinating state-wide partnerships and fundraising activities. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Amy served as Associate Director for Michigan Campus Compact, working with grantees and many other programs. A Michigan native, she returned to the state after working for Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia as Director of Activities and Performing Arts. Amy also worked in the volunteer center network, for both the Albion Volunteer Service Center in Albion, Michigan and Volunteer and Information Services in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Amy has a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University in Political Science and Russian/Eastern European Studies and a Masters degree in Student Personnel Administration from Ball State University. She serves on the boards of numerous community organizations including the Michigan HOSA Board, the playground committee at Dimondale Elementary School, the Parent Advisory Committee for the YMCA child care center, an appointed member of the Dimondale Recreation Committee and serves as a community mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Amy is married to Chris Lemmon who works for the Capital Area District Library and they have two daughters: Felicia and Paige.

Diane Bedwell

Diane has served as the Student Coordinator AmeriCorps *VISTA at Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) since July of 2007. As the Student Coordinator, Diane helps coordinate the Student Community Action Network (SCAN), the Student Community Action Fund (SCAF), and the Carter Partnership grant programs. She also helps plan events including Service Leadership Camp. Diane is a 2007 graduate of Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington with a BS in Sociology. While attending Central Washington University, Diane was a student programmer in the Center for Student Empowerment.

Tiauna Boyd

Tiauna Boyd

Tiauna Boyd has served as the Coordinator of Volunteer Mobilization since September 2007 and she is currently working to complete her B.S in Child Development from Central Michigan University. Throughout her college career, Tiauna has been involved in serving disadvantaged youth through local, state-wide, and international volunteer opportunities. As a McNair Scholar, Tiauna has researched various issues surrounding educational inequality, academic resilience, and at-risk youth. Tiauna would love to come to your campus to talk with individuals/groups about serving disadvantaged youth, mentoring, and writing grants (specifically the Youth to Youth grant). Please feel free to contact her for more information about the Youth to Youth grant or about presenting on your campus!

Ryan Fewins

Ryan Fewins

Assistant Director for Training and Technical Assistance at Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) since July 2006, Ryan works with the AmeriCorps*VISTA and Michigan Service Scholars programs. He communicates regularly with Community Service Directors, faculty and students and is available for presentations, site visits and various trainings. He also plans several events including Service Leadership Camp, The Institute and various colloquia. Hailing from northern Michigan, Ryan received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Central Michigan University in Integrative Public Relations and Educational Administration and Community Leadership respectively. Prior to joining the Campus Compact team, Ryan served as an advocate of service at Saginaw Valley State University’s Student Life Center as Assistant Director and at Central Michigan University’s Volunteer Center as the Graduate Assistant. As a student, Ryan served in the MCC Student Community Action Network (SCAN) for four years and served as an MCC Student Fellow for one. He is active on several community boards including the Planned Parenthood of East Central Michigan Board of Directors and the Central Michigan University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Molly Hilligoss

Molly Hilligoss

Program Specialist for the Michigan Nonprofit Association since February 2007, Molly works with both Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) and the Volunteer Centers of Michigan (VCM) on a variety of projects. In her role with MCC she coordinates the Venture, SCAF and Carter Partnership grant programs.  She also oversees the review and selection processes for the Outstanding Student Service and the Faculty/Staff Community Service-Learning Awards programs.  She previously served as an AmeriCorps* VISTA member with the Points of Light Foundation’s Strengthening Communities initiative and as a Community/Campus Organizer for the New Voters Project in Wisconsin. She attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio where she served as Chair of the Community Council and Community Manager.

Shelley Long

Shelley Long

Shelley Long has been working with Michigan Campus Compact as the Administrative Assistant of Constituent Relations since February of 2006.  She works directly with Amy Smitter, scheduling her meetings and appointments, as well as with the Executive Director of the Volunteer Centers of Michigan.  She maintains constituent databases, coordinates constituent mailings, plans leadership meetings, and assists with the coordination of colloquiums and conferences.  Shelley has attended both Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Western Michigan University.

Katie Richlick

Katie Richlick

Katie has served as the AmeriCorps* VISTA Leader at Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) since July 2007. As the VISTA Leader, Katie recruits, trains and provides support to the MCC AmeriCorps* VISTA members and host site supervisors. Katie is a 2006 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a BS in Liberal Studies. She is currently working towards her Masters’ in Non-profit Administration from North Park University. Prior to her current VISTA position, Katie was an AmeriCorps State Member through the Ionia County Intermediate School District. Katie’s site was Belding High School where she worked on developing service-learning projects, volunteer recruitment and program management.

Michelle Snitgen
Investing in College Futures Program Manager

Michelle Snitgen

Program Manager for the Investing in College Futures program since September 2006, Michelle trains and provides support to grantees, member campuses, and community partners. Michelle has most recently been working at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan as a Wish Manager. She has a Master's degree in Interpersonal and Public Communication from Central Michigan University and instructed classes at CMU. She obtained a B.A. from CMU in Communication and French. Michelle has presented at national faculty discipline conferences and has participated in numerous volunteer activities. 

Anjil Tyler
Michigan Service Scholars Program Assistant

Anjil Tyler

Anjil Tyler has been working with Michigan Campus Compact as the Michigan Service Scholars Program Assistant since June of 2008. Anjil assists in the management of the Michigan Service Scholars AmeriCorps program - helping hundreds of students do service in their communities while earning a $1,000 education award to support their studies. She also serves as a team member on several other events and projects within the office, providing much-needed expertise and assistance.  She is a certified trainer with many certificates in child welfare issues. Anjil has attended both Lansing Community College and Davenport University.
